Where is Kilbarchan, Renfrewshire, Scotland?
Kilbarchan village is in central Renfrewshire. There were once 800 handlooms in the village, which was one of many weaving communities. The popular village of Kilbarchan, is located in lovely countryside and is well-liked by Renfrewshire residents, has maintained much of its historic charm.
Mary Barbour, the first female councillor in Glasgow, was born in Kilbarchan.
Visit the Weaver’s Cottage, which the National Trust for Scotland is responsible for. It perfectly captures the daily routine and working environment of a typical handloom weaver. 61 buildings are listed by Historic Scotland as being of architectural or historical merit.
Lilias Day is an excellent yearly village celebration that always takes place on the first Saturday in June. Hundreds of tourists travel to Kilbarchan to take in the festivities and enjoy the parade.

The Kilbarchan Amateur Athletics Club, a primary school, a girl guiding centre, a scout hall, a pipe band, park, local shops, and two churches are all located in Kilbarchan. The Trust and Habbies, which was formerly known as the Glenleven, are the two local pubs. The Trust, which has been around since 1904, hosts live music every Friday.
