Where in Renfrewshire, Scotland is Erskine?

Erskine is a town in the West Central Lowlands of Scotland, part of the Renfrewshire council area and the same-named historic county. The Erskine Bridge, which connects the town to Old Kilpatrick in West Dunbartonshire, is located on the southern bank of the River Clyde and offers the lowest crossing to the north bank of the river. Erskine is a commuter town that borders Bishopton to the west, Renfrew, Inchinnan, Paisley, and Glasgow Airport to the south. It is located at the westernmost edge of the Greater Glasgow conurbation. The town, which was once a tiny village settlement, has grown since the 1960s as a result of development as an overspill town, increasing its population to over 15,000 people. It was named one of Scotland’s most desirable postcode areas to live in in 2014. This is excellent for the local housing and residential letting markets.
It is worth checking out the house pricing web sites online like zoopla or rightmove. These company websites have a popular feature to give the recent, highest and number one house prices within a town or area all under one roof. You can follow this and try to find the perfect moment to sell. Of course, whether you benefit, and actually achieve the potential price depends on choosing a safe agency, team led, that will give you the best service and strive to deliver the best total price. We stake our industry reputation on our customer service – this means we establish a fee and work in a legal and professional manner.

What are some things to see in Erskine?

Earl of Mar Hotel | Erskine House
Construction of Erskine House took place between 1828 and 1845. Sir Robert Smirke, the British Museum’s chief architect, was responsible for its design. It was renamed the Princess Louise Scottish Hospital for Limbless Sailors and Soldiers during World War I. The estate is now known as the five-star Mar Hall Hotel, honouring the Earl of Mar, who once owned it.
Erskine Clinic
The charity was founded in 1916 as Princess Louise Scottish Hospital for Limbless Sailors and Soldiers, injured in the war. It has since expanded to provide assistance to British veterans of all conflicts then.
Erskine Bridge
The western edge of the town is towered over by the Erskine Bridge. The Firth of Clyde estuary is soon after the bridge,
Bode Boden
Under the Erskine bridge, there is a woodland area with unofficial trails, picnic areas, and views of the River Clyde. Also where Erskine Beach is located – it’s a great place to go cycling and walking.
